Want to run heavy loads like large machinery, refrigeration and ovens simultaneously? With a Victron ESS you can, without upgrading your grid connection. The peak shaving function automatically brings the battery online during consumption peaks, giving you the extra power that's needed.
Avoid consumption peaks. Switch on machinery when there's plenty of solar energy or low tariffs. Prevent overload by intelligently distributing power and starting machines in sequence. A Victron ESS can automatically control your equipment based on energy use to make your operations even more efficient. Without taking up any of your time.
During a power cut, your business simply keeps running. Your Victron ESS switches to battery power instantly, so equipment and lighting stay on. Even your existing solar panels continue to supply power - something that's impossible with a regular PV setup.
Even with a heavy-duty connection, the peak shaving function of a Victron ESS saves you money. When you suddenly need more power, the battery automatically kicks in to meet the demand. This keeps your connection within limits and avoids expensive peak charges.
With a dynamic contract, your Victron system can automatically buy electricity during off-peak hours and sell any excess at peak rates, including power from your solar panels. This saves you even more and makes you less dependent on your energy supplier.
As a business owner you invest in solar panels to save money sustainably, not to pay extra for using them. With a Victron ESS, excess solar power is stored in the battery so you can use it later - during poor weather or in the evening, for example. You also have the option to disable grid feed-in completely.

Want to run heavy machinery, refrigeration and charging points simultaneously without overloading your grid connection? Peak shaving makes it possible. The ESS battery automatically supplies extra power during consumption peaks and flattens them to avoid high capacity charges. This keeps your operations running without needing a larger connection. Better still: in some cases, you can even manage with a smaller, cheaper connection.
In some countries, there's a minimum wait of several years for a new or upgraded grid connection. With a Victron ESS, you get the capacity you need quickly.
Dynamic ESS manages your company's energy use in the smartest way possible, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sophisticated algorithms automatically charge and discharge the battery based on your predicted consumption, local solar generation, and current energy rates to get the most from a dynamic energy contract. The result: lower costs, greater use of your own solar power, reduced grid dependence and the option to sell excess energy. Dynamic ESS is free and included as standard with every Victron ESS system.
What was once only available in expensive industrial systems is now within reach for SMEs. Victron ESS offers the option to actively control machines and equipment through Energy Automations: intelligent control rules that distribute power more effectively and improve energy efficiency. Your Victron installer sets up the connections and fine-tunes everything to match your business operations.
With Energy Automations, a Victron ESS controls your entire energy system. Critical equipment like climate control, ovens, or CNC machines always gets priority, while other systems start up a few seconds later. Pumps, ventilation, and compressors run as soon as there's capacity or favourable rates apply. This way, all processes are coordinated and your business runs smoothly - without overload or unnecessary energy costs.

With Energy Automations, battery charging and discharging is optimised further. Heavy equipment - like irrigation pumps on a farm - switches on automatically when electricity rates are low or solar generation is high. If a process can't wait, the battery supplies energy stored earlier at cheaper rates.

A Victron ESS distributes the load across the three phases of your connection, with the battery supporting the highest demand. Energy Automations ensure even better balance by starting heavy equipment in sequence or with priority. For example, in a metalworking business, the CNC machine can run first, the extraction a few seconds later, and the annealing furnace only when capacity is available.
Track your energy use, solar generation and battery status in real time, around the clock. The free Victron Remote Management (VRM) app works on your laptop, phone or smartwatch, giving you complete control of your energy system. Use it to boost your grid independence and cut your energy costs.

When the grid goes down, it often means lost production, spoiled inventory, and missed deadlines. But with a Victron ESS, there's no downtime and no stress. The system switches to backup power instantly, so equipment, lighting, and IT keep running. The same applies to your solar panels - something that's impossible with just a grid connection.

With a Victron system, you're not tied to one brand, application, or energy supplier. Existing PV inverters, generators, and charging points can be easily integrated, and there's complete freedom of choice in batteries and other components. What's more, we don't tie you into energy contracts or charge software subscription fees.

Victron ESS makes your energy greener and more intelligent. Get more from your solar power and shift consumption to cheaper times - reducing both CO₂ emissions and costs. At the same time, you become less dependent on the grid and improve your business continuity.
An ESS system is an investment for years to come. With Victron, you choose the security of a Dutch family business that has been a global leader in energy technology for decades.
Since 1975, Victron has designed and built inverters, chargers and other power supply equipment for marine, mobile, industrial and off-grid applications. Millions of customers worldwide trust our know-how, even in the most demanding conditions. From ambulances to coastguard vessels, from remote work sites to hospitals: You'll find Victron wherever reliable power is critical.
An ESS (Energy Storage System) is an energy system that intelligently connects your solar panels, PV inverter and grid connection to a battery. It stores excess solar power during the day so you can use that energy later when the sun isn't shining - in the evening or during poor weather, for example. An ESS also offers the option to charge the battery when electricity rates are low. This way, you become less dependent on your energy supplier, avoid feed-in charges and save on your bills.
Yes, that's exactly what a Victron ESS is designed for. The system lets you get more power from your existing connection because the battery supplies extra power during peak consumption. This means heavy loads like large machinery, ovens and refrigeration can run simultaneously without tripping the fuses. So you don't have to wait for the network operator, and if you want to expand further later, you already have a system that grows with your business.
Yes, a Victron ESS integrates seamlessly with existing installations. The modular system adapts to any configuration and works with most brands of solar panels and inverters.
No, it's no problem to start small and expand as your business grows. The system is deliberately designed to be modular, making it easy to add battery capacity and inverter power when needed. Many business owners start with a basic system that supports the most critical processes and scale up later, for example to increase backup capacity. Your installer will help you determine what best suits your situation.
The system switches to battery power instantly, so your business simply keeps running. Critical equipment like refrigeration, computers and machinery stays operational, so you don't lose revenue or stock. You can even temporarily reserve extra backup capacity if you're expecting problems, such as during severe weather.
EMS stands for Energy Management System. It's a widely used term for the ESS software that manages and optimises energy consumption and storage. Your Victron ESS's EMS is flexible and can also intelligently control various pieces of equipment, so they're used at the most favourable times. This provides even greater stability and savings.
Yes, with the Dynamic ESS function in 'Trade Mode', the system can trade energy automatically. It checks current rates every quarter-hour or hour, buys power when prices are low and sells excess energy (including your self-generated solar power) when prices are high. Depending on consumption and market rates, this can significantly reduce energy costs. Note: you'll need a dynamic energy contract for this.
For that, the Dynamic ESS function has 'Green Mode'. This covers your own consumption first, then charges the battery, and only sells excess energy as a last step.
With a dynamic energy contract, electricity rates are directly linked to current prices on the energy exchange. You pay only a small purchasing fee on top of the standing charges, without the extra cost for price certainty you'd have with a fixed-rate contract. With a dynamic contract, you can use Dynamic ESS: your system automatically buys power when prices are low and sells what you don't use when prices are high.
Yes. In fact, it's specifically designed to grow with your energy needs. Not only because all Victron products are easy to combine with each other, but also because the system works with equipment from other brands. Think of AC-PV inverters for solar panels and batteries, for example.
No, all smart features such as Dynamic ESS, monitoring via the VRM app and automatic optimisation are included as standard with no additional costs or subscriptions.
Yes, even with a small grid connection, heavy machinery, refrigeration and charging points for company vehicles can all operate simultaneously. The battery automatically kicks in when more power is needed, and excessive peaks can be prevented by intelligently controlling equipment with Energy Automations.
Absolutely. Victron Energy is a Dutch family business that has been leading the way in energy systems since 1975. We have millions of customers worldwide and our equipment operates in the most remote areas where you're completely self-reliant. At Victron, we set rigorous standards for durability and reliability - for good reason. Our systems are often used in inhospitable locations, at sea, and in extreme weather conditions. This means your ESS can handle far more than a business would typically demand of it. Furthermore, we develop all our software in-house and ensure your data stays secure on European servers with no hidden conditions.

Changing regulations, different energy needs, greater self-sufficiency: a Victron ESS adapts with you. The modular design makes expansion straightforward and, because it's not an all-in-one system, you're not locked into one brand. On top of that, we continuously develop our software, so you can add new features with a simple update. This keeps your system current for years to come.
