Off-grid should not mean disconnected. Having insight into your system is key to maintaining and operating your installation, whether on the road or at sea. That is why we created the GlobalLink range: the GlobalLink 520, equipped with LTE-M, and the latest GlobalLink 530, equipped with a 4G modem with 2G fallback, providing reliable coverage in many parts of the world. Both models provide plug-and-play connectivity to all VE.Direct-enabled devices without monthly fees or subscriptions for five years, with the option to extend afterwards.

The GlobalLink 520 and 530 both offer built-in global connectivity with a 5-year prepaid SIM card, which can be extended after expiry. This ensures continuous, hassle-free remote monitoring through the VRM Portal, without the need for extra contracts or SIM cards.
The difference between the GlobalLink 520 and GlobalLink 530 is their cellular connectivity. The GlobalLink 520 uses LTE-M, a low-power cellular technology designed specifically for IoT applications. While LTE-M is an excellent fit in supported regions, its availability is limited in many parts of the world. The GlobalLink 530 uses standard 4G LTE connectivity—the same network technology used by smartphones—and also supports 2G as a fallback where available. This provides broader global coverage and greater deployment flexibility.

The GlobalLink 520 and 530 each come with two communication ports, allowing you to connect up to two VE.Direct devices such as a BMV Battery Monitor and/or an MPPT Solar Charge Controller directly to VRM. Compatible Victron Smart products can also be connected via BLE. With two digital inputs that act as pulse counters and a remote-controllable relay, they offer a practical solution to monitor and control your installation.

Both the GlobalLink 520 and 530 support RuuviTag temperature sensors. These battery-powered sensors connect via Bluetooth and are easy to set up with the VictronConnect app. Data such as temperature, humidity, and air pressure from the RuuviTag sensors is directly mirrored to the VRM portal.

The Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal gives you access to your installation anytime, anywhere, over an internet connection. In the VRM portal, you can monitor the status of your connected products, view detailed graphs of your energy consumption and production, generate analytical reports, and set up automatic alarms to prevent issues.
